The Dickens Festival Holiday Craft Fair
Saturday, November 23, 2019, from 10 am to 3 pm
Celebrating our 25th Year!
Admission is FREE
The Dickens Festival Holiday Craft Fair is a beloved Braintree tradition. Held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, All Souls Church is transformed into a festive Victorian marketplace decked out for the Christmas season. The Festival is a touchstone for the holidays that offers our community the gift of a traditional holiday experience filled with good cheer and good fun! This year will be our 25th Annual Dickens Festival and will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2019.
The Dickens Festival is a unique entertainment and shopping experience with something for the young and young at heart. Admission is free and there are many things for sale.
Interact with costumed characters from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and join in with our carolers who gather several times throughout the day. Visit our Marketplace where 22 of the best area artisans in Victorian costume sell their handcrafted goods. Shop at Great Expectations, featuring quality, new and re-giftable items.
Be sure to visit Father Christmas (our Victorian Santa) for FREE. Bring your camera. He will be seated in his big chair on the steps of our Artisan Marketplace near the Christmas tree from 11 am to 12 noon and from 1 to 2:30 pm.
Take home an Apple Pie from our Pies by Guys Baking Crew. Buy one to eat and one to freeze! Pie by the slice will also be available for purchase at the lunch counter. Perfect for after you enjoy a hot roast turkey sandwich with stuffing and cranberry sauce, made in our own kitchen. Stock up on baked goods and take a chance on some fantastic raffles ... gift certificates and items donated by area merchants.
The Dickens Festival is known for its fun atmosphere, unique gifts and quality, handmade merchandise.
Come to the Dickens Festival for some old fashioned spirit to start of your holiday season!

DICKENS FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIPS
In addition to the excitement on the day of the Dickens Festival, an important part of the financial success of the event rests on the sponsorships that are donated by local merchants, service-providers and individuals. These donors are acknowledged with advertising space in the Dickens Program book and may be included in the slide show in the Artisan’s Marketplace throughout the day. We get over 500 visitors to the festival each year; an excellent local advertising opportunity.
Below is a sponsorship form. If you want to share this sponsorship opportunity, there is also a letter and notice to explain. All donations need to be finalized by October 30 so the program can go to press. Please get in touch with Mary Mitchell if you have any questions or suggestions.
If you have any trouble downloading and printing the forms below, please contact us for assistance.
