Connection Circles provide a time to check in with old friends and welcome new friends in conversation on Zoom. https://zoom.us/j/96571006038
Thursdays at 3:30 pm Each weekly meeting incorporates equal time for open conversation and a set format that we hope will invite discussion. Our March gatherings began with a Ted Talk presented by filmmaker Karen Bass, featuring astonishing nature footage that she shot for the BBC and National Geographic. St. Patrick’s Day was the inspiration for a taste of traditional Irish music, with videos of The Clancy Brothers, The Chieftains, and Sinéad O’Connor. On the third Thursday, we viewed a 2015 recording of poet, activist, and feminist Robin Morgan reading four moving poems that were windows into her experience with aging as well as with Parkinson’s Disease. The fourth week featured the reading of a timely article of interest. Each month the selection of topics happens somewhat organically, and every week is different! April 4 – Format – Ted Talk Topic and format suggestions from attendees are encouraged; we welcome new attendees who would like to forge new connections or renew old ones!
